Swedish writer and journalist Karl-Erik Tallmo has been chronically ill for 24 years, with constant pain in the whole body and constant extreme fatigue. In this video he shows what it's like to live with such a disease. You may feel pretty OK a few hours - and a few hours later, you might be totally debilitated, not being able to speak or move. Among the symptoms are also severe sleep disorders, sound and light hypersensitivity, infection susceptibility etc. Many diseases have these kinds of symptoms, eg. chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism, Addison's disease, amalgam poisoning, borreliosis (Lyme disease). It is difficult to explain to others how one might seem relatively well one day, but at the same time be so ill. In Swedish, with subtitles in English. Made in 2017.
